影片讲述的是新疆维吾尔自治区一名警察拯救被拐儿童，并用无微不至的爱心帮孩子寻找亲人的故事。木拉提5岁时，被以阿合曼为首的犯罪团伙犯罪分子拐卖到内地，强迫行窃，几乎天天遭受毒打和折磨。一晃5年过去了，木拉提无时无刻不在尝试逃离魔窟，终于在公安机关一次大规模打拐行动中他得以逃生。然而被拯救的木拉提却想不起自己的家在何处、父母是谁，好心的警官亚力坤帮助他走上了漫长的寻亲之路……。An ambitious newspaper reporter (Dick Powell), eager to scoop the competition, wishes he could know the news before it happens.
