一次偶然中，牵牛（彭于晏 饰）结识了名叫童小夏（张檬 饰）的女明星，先是后者误拿了前者的行李，之后前者又误打误撞的成为了后者的经纪人，在误会和笑料之中，一段情缘就此展开。年轻有为的马英杰（张峻宁 饰）对小夏一往情深，可小夏却只拿他当做亲人看待。随着时间的推移，小夏和牵牛之间的距离越来越近，迷惘之中，一向不善表达的小夏不知该如何面对自己的感情。 一场车祸让马英杰住进了医院，对此，牵牛感到了深深的自责，尽管马英杰接受了牵牛和小夏之间的恋情，但牵牛最终还是选择了离开。在偌大的世界中，小夏和牵牛还能够再次相逢吗？他们的感情又能否开花结果呢？。The film is based loosely around events in December 1995 that culminated in the murders of three drug dealers in Rettendon, Essex, UK.
