The film revolves around Tegan and Sara Quin, gay twin sisters from Calgary, Alberta, who formed a rock band that attracted devoted followers, many of them from the LGBTQ+ community. But in 2011, Tegan’s personal computer files were hacked, setting off a calamitous chain of events.。故事发生在八十年代的北京。几年前，在农村插队的盛夏返城回京，当了一名卖肉的售货员，她把希望寄托在男友柯平身上，指望他能评上职称，同时她也想通过自学改变未来的前途。她以同寝室好友秦园为追赶目标，利用一切业余时间补习英语和其它文化课，力争参加高考。临近高考，盛夏发现自己怀孕了，柯平趁机提出结婚要求，而盛夏不想失去高考机会做了流产，俩人为此产生隔膜。因受情绪影响，盛夏高考失败，柯平也离开了她。面对双重精神打击，盛夏咬牙坚持着走向自学成才之路，秦园高考的成功也时刻激励着她，她相信光明就在前头......。Unable to get a job, Jungeon worries about his future.
