冬日早晨，路人行色匆匆，年轻母亲带着孩子奔走街头，七岁小童杰伊高举万花筒，眼中绽出瑰丽世界。昏暗的剧院后台，芭蕾舞者整装热身，母亲因杰伊生病而试镜迟到，恳求导演体恤，好不容易获得机会。杰伊低烧喷嚏连连，捂住嘴巴努力不出声，导演在他耳边说悄悄话。杰伊又惊又惑，独自漫游城中，意外撕破现实与幻象的薄纸虚浮，展开一场奇妙荒诞的都市历险。。“实在北京人”大林来自“中国式”传统家庭，刚刚从法学专业毕业便应父母要求，一头扎进求职大军随波而行。几十次面试失败后，终于在“林子大了”咖啡馆寻得一份与初衷相去甚远的工作——服务员。取意“什么鸟都有”的“林子大了”咖啡馆里，一群八竿子打不着的人，各怀不同的目标从天南海北走到一起，伴随东升西落与喜怒哀乐，触发出一段段并不可歌可泣却有笑有泪的故事。。They’re back!
