著名小提琴演奏家陈枫为了完成父亲陈士晔的梦想，毅然辞去乐团的工作，来到乐器厂学习制作小提琴，并数度进入林区寻找“虎皮枫木”，直至在东北林区发现。“虎皮枫木”并非来自中国，而一直由欧洲进口，被称为“欧料”，是制作优质小提琴的木料材质。几个世纪以来，高档小提琴一直由西方制作生产。因此，在中国寻找“虎皮枫木”，就成为一些想制作中国高级乐器的琴师的梦想。。America is a vast country--three thousand miles from end to end.
