李安安为了让爸爸李健陪自己去放风筝考试考了满分，中途李健接到白月光白沁的电话找借口离开，将女儿独自留在郊外发生危险，被刚提新车的白沁撞伤，且身为医生的李健没能及时为女儿施救。徐薇悲痛欲绝独自处理女儿后事，却撞见李健在亲子餐厅给白沁儿子过生日。该剧主要讲述白人警察皮特·埃文斯（Noel饰）在便利店误杀了一位黑人男医生，这位黑人医生还是一名同/性/恋，跟丈夫丹尼尔有一个可爱的女儿。皮特虽万分自责，但仍然无法避免被卷入舆论风暴。被卷入这事的多个家庭都深受创伤...。British Army radiation drills at a remote Scottish base attract a subterranean, radioactive entity of unknown nature that vanishes, leaving two severely radiation-burned soldiers... and a "bottomless" crack in the earth.
