《扑克王者》是一部以扑克比赛为主轴的贺岁喜剧电影，讲述3位男主角──拥有特异功能的程家朗、5届世界扑克王大赛得主兼赌厅主人韦一富和天生纯良愚钝的黄小七之间的纠葛。。1948年冬，淮海战场。电话员小于（黄小雷 饰）在执行任务中救下了准备上吊的农村姑娘玉香（李秀明 饰），玉香无以为报，愿以身相许，并诉说自已无家可归的苦难遭遇。战土们非常同情这个孤苦伶仃的姑娘，便把她留在炊事班帮忙。战斗中，玉香不顾个人安危，冒着敌人的炮火往前沿阵地为战士们送水送饭。通信员小郭（刘继忠 饰）在战斗中牺牲，小于前赴后继冲上前去，用身体接通电话线，保障了我军首长对敌师指挥所强大的政治攻势，最后与敌人同归于尽。小于的牺牲另玉香悲痛万分，而战争的残酷也使她变的更加坚强，卫生员小孙（宝珣 饰）牺牲后，玉香勇敢地接过医药箱，奔向滚滚战争洪流......。The story of the Korean War is told through powerful color imagery, dramatic musical score and sound-scape.
