Director David Cronenberg faces his own mortality in this surreal short film. The creator of "The Fly" and "Dead Ringers" manages to observe himself after death, all curious about the body who peacefully rest in bed and to which he reacts very tenderly.。漫画家のあずみは、ゲストハウス「サンプラザ朝沼」にカン詰めで宿泊している。しかし、共有スペースから聞こえてくる寮母・マリコ（菊池桃子）とその娘・ミサキ（大原優乃）の賑やかな声が気になって仕事に集中できない。サンプラザ朝沼の評判をネットで調べると、悪評が並んでいたが、その中に「扉が、開く」と謎のコメントを見つける。そして、仕事で行き詰まった時、あずみの前に突然現れた「扉」はハロプロの楽屋に繋がっていたのだった…。
