The film will concentrate on key aggregation points around the world: Mexico, South Africa...。书生柳梦萍与杜丽君有指腹为婚之约，柳家家道中落，萍偕弟剑儿投靠杜家。丽父守仁冷待兄弟俩，把他们安置於荒院。丽夜里私会萍，两人花前月下，海誓山盟。日间，萍於庭院中再遇丽，却被视作陌路人。及后，萍始知仁嫌贫爱富，逼丽下嫁富家子杨耀威，丽不从，自缢身亡，而萍日间所见为丽的孪生妹妹婉君。仁逼婉嫁给威，婉不从，欲和萍私奔又被拒。萍与弟带著丽的魂魄回乡，途中丽告知其妹为抗父命自尽，著萍折返杜家，助丽借尸还魂，一对有情人得成眷属。。
