It turns out that not everybody is on the same waveleng...。老萧、赵小玉等几个老男人在民乐团解散后，几个老男人的生活一时陷于困顿。几个老男人调整心态，自谋生路，在社会底层艰难打拼，各自精彩，但都割舍不了对民乐的那份痴迷。最后他们决定一起组建新派民乐队……。六十四岁的老导演林念经被妻子陈惊质疑不懂爱情，赌气之下决定拍摄一部爱情片。他拉上自己合作多年的老编剧杜笃施一同上路采风，两位老人从香港回到广州，途中引发了许多啼笑皆非的事情。这段看似寻找爱情片灵感的旅程，实是由林念经的记忆碎片组成；当记忆逐渐拼凑完整，陈惊的样子也在二人面前逐渐清晰。。
