My Rembrandt, in her own words, has become an 'epic art thriller', in which the filmmaker gives a fascinating insight into what makes the work of the Dutch master so special and why his art touches people so deeply.。顾芸在年轻时被拐卖给老光棍林虎，林虎嗜酒成性爱女色还好赌，不仅拿着顾芸辛苦挣来的钱去赌博，还对顾芸非打即骂，顾芸忍受不了喝农药自尽，却被年幼的林茜看见，回来的林虎害怕把顾芸送去医院，自己买媳妇的事情会暴露，直接将人埋了。谁知道顾芸大难不死。二战结束后，曾在法国参加作战的印第安土著Jimmy Picard（本尼西奥·德尔·托罗 Benicio Del Toro 饰）住进了堪萨托皮卡军事医院。这家医院以专业医治脑病而著称。Jimmy Picard罹患多种疾病：眩晕、短暂失明、失去听觉……由于找不到任何器质性病变，医生将其诊断为精神分裂症。但医院仍然决定请法国专门研究北美印第安文化的人种学家及心理学家Georges Devereux（马修·阿马立克 Mathieu Amalric 饰）进行会诊。。
